So many women don’t get around to taking care of their skin until well into their 40s or even 50s. If you really want to take the best care of your skin you need to start as early as you can, preferably while your skin is still looking great.

Why is it good to start in your 20s when your skin still looks great? Because that’s the time when the deterioration of your skin health starts.

Now of course that’s not to say that if you’re in your 40s, say, its too late. But if you’re in your 20s and you start on a great skin care routine you’re way better placed to achieving great looking skin. Early is better.

2. Stay healthy.

There’s absolutely no doubt that overall health contributes to skin health. A healthy inside makes for a healthy great looking outside.

It my sound entirely obvious that if you stay healthy your skin stays healthy, but it’s something that, despite being obvious, so many women don’t think of. You need to do all the things you already know about staying healthy.

A great diet high in anti oxidants is great for your skin. Lots of fresh fruit and vegies, low saturated fat intake, low salt and sugar is a recipe for healthier skin, as well as overall health. And also a healthy heart which assists blood circulation which is also good for skin health.

And of course lots of exercise is also important for skin health too.

Takeing care of yourself is taking care of your skin. You can’t look beautiful in a diet of pizzas and burgers when the biggest exertion in your day is the walk to the fridge.

3. Avoid the 2 worst things you can do to your skin.

There’s 2 factors that are huge in contributing to skin deterioration. Smoking and sunburn. Whatever you need to do just don’t do these. Both take a huge toll on your skin condition.

4. Use the highest quality skin care products you can.

Yes you may have read that skin care products don’t really work, and in many cases this is true. Most of the big brand name skin care products found in the stores are overpriced, and do only limited good to your skin. But modern science really does know what makes skin healthy and beautiful, and there are many excellent natural skin care products that contain naturally occurring ingredients that really are known to be highly beneficial to your skin.

Most of the big brand name skin care products also contain chemical ingredients that aren’t good for your skin at all, though are cheap.
