Trying different diets over and over again can get you to the point that you might think that you know them all and their concepts are well known to you as well.

It’s understandable because after realising all pluses and minuses of several diets you should be quite experienced and nothing really could surprise you. There’s one diet that could change your mind though.

It’s called Abs diet and it uses some old and almost forgotten concept. The concept is simple but very powerful same time; weight loss is achieved by exercising while having a special diet including just 12 nutrient rich foods.

About exercising… Muscles compared to fat, make your body spend much more energy to keep them in shape, that’s why in order to make your body use more energy, you need to have more muscle.

Easy isn’t it? In order to lose weight, instead of lowering your calorie intake, you have to increase your energy usage by having more muscles. Muscle mass will use the energy that would be stored as fat normally.

Let’s look at some calculations… About 50 calories a day are used to keep in shape 1 pound of muscle. How many calories will be used for maintenance of 10 pounds of muscle? Yes, 500 calories a day. 500 calories less a day actually could trim 1 pound of your weight a week.

Diet creates a snowball effect – the more you exercise the more muscle you build, the more energy your body uses, the more weight you lose. And so on.

Eating part… Basically, for 6 weeks you’re allowed only these 12 nutrient rich power foods which will supply your body with all the necessary to keep it healthy and fit for duration of the diet. You will have to eat: low-fat dairy products, peanut butter, almonds, beans and peas, eggs, wholegrain breads and cereals, berries, lean meats (such as turkey), spinach and a couple of other green vegetables, instant hot oat cereal, olive oil, protein powder.

Duration of the diet is 6 weeks and average weight loss in first 2 weeks can reach 12 pounds what is a good motivator. Also fit body, beautiful abs and generally better feeling about yourself, all should give you the right motivation.
